The future of digital memory culture in Poland and Germany

The EVZ Foundation and iRights.Lab invite everyone interested to an online event

Join the online event on October 1, 2021, 11.00am to 12.45pm, as we discuss the future of digital memory culture in Poland and Germany.

This event marks the conclusion of the current term of the digital // memory funding program. To celebrate, seven project teams will be present, who have spent a year working on different digital formats for historical-civic education in Poland and Germany. Get inspired by innovative ways to communicate history and culture digitally and discuss their use as well as their application with the creators themselves.

The funded institutions this year are

Documentation Center Nazi Party Rally Grounds (Nuremberg)
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site (Dachau)
Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre (Lublin)
Zapomniane Foundation (Warsaw)
Arolsen Archives (Bad Arolsen)
Romani Phen (Berlin)
Amcha e.V. (Berlin).

The event will feature a keynote by Ewa Manikowska, one of the founding partners of digiCONFLICT, a research consortium on digital heritage in cultural conflicts (https://digiconflict.net/). She will give us first-hand insight into her work with multimedia museums.
